Add clickable size buttons, a size guide and chest-measurement fit recommendations to variable WooCommerce products. Developed by Big Boot Media.

== Description ==
BBM Fit Assistant for WooCommerce adds clickable size buttons, a size guide and a Find Your Fit recommendation modal to WooCommerce variable product pages. Store owners can configure a chest measurement size chart and fit adjustments. The customer-facing interface uses neutral branding and does not advertise Big Boot Media or The Basic Cotton.

The existing WooCommerce variation dropdown remains available to WooCommerce's variation logic, while the size buttons provide a more visual selection interface. Designed for clothing sized using chest measurements.

== Installation ==
1. Back up your site and preferably test on staging first.
2. If The Basic Cotton Fit Assistant is installed, deactivate it but do not delete your saved WordPress options.
3. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin and upload the BBM Fit Assistant ZIP.
4. Activate BBM Fit Assistant for WooCommerce.
5. Open Settings > BBM Fit Assistant and review the migrated settings.
6. Confirm the size attribute slug (for example, size or pa_size), size chart, labels and fit offsets.
7. Test the size buttons, size guide, fit recommendation and Add to Cart behaviour on a variable product page.
8. After confirming everything works, you can remove the old plugin.

== Upgrade from The Basic Cotton Fit Assistant ==
On activation, if the new plugin has no saved settings, it copies the earlier plugin's tbcfa_settings option into bbmfa_settings. Existing size charts, fit offsets and custom labels are retained. The former default heading "Find Your Basic Cotton Fit" is replaced with "Find Your Fit", and a neutral "SIZE & FIT" eyebrow is used by default. The original settings option is not deleted.

Do not run both plugins at once. If the original plugin remains active, BBM Fit Assistant does not load its own front-end assets and displays an admin warning.

== Default size chart ==
XS|36
S|38
M|40
L|42
XL|44
XXL|46

== How recommendations work ==
The customer enters a chest measurement in inches or centimetres and chooses Fitted, Regular or Relaxed. The plugin applies the configured adjustment and suggests the nearest size. Defaults are -2 inches for Fitted, 0 for Regular and +2 for Relaxed. Recommendations are general sizing aids, not guarantees. Review the settings to match your products.

== Notes ==
- Front-end assets load only on variable WooCommerce product pages.
- The native WooCommerce variation selector remains for stock and Add to Cart logic.
- No third-party API, AI service or subscription is required.
- No theme files are modified.
